Climate change and human needs put pressure on marine ecosystems affecting the long-term sustainability and Resilience of the critical habitats (mangroves, seagrasses and coral reefs), biodiversity, and poor coastal communities. Blue Carbon Tanzania (BCT) supports long-term sustainability and builds the resilience of the coastal ecosystems and communities to achieve a win-win goal of protection, an improved livelihood, climate mitigation and adaptation.
